Keep on jogging but watch where you are going
Thursday, 25th January 2018
• FURTHER to the kind support for my earlier letter from Margaret King, as she says, the running track at Parliament Hill is the right place for speed training (Dangerous… I don’t consider joggers as pedestrians, January 18).
But I do want to point out that jogging is generally a perfectly safe and desirable activity if carried out responsibly, and this can be done almost anywhere.
Provided you have a clear path for five yards in front of you, there is no reason not to use it. I have often done so myself, and the popularity of the race series Parkrun indicates what a fruitful interaction this brings to our communities around Britain.
So by all means do keep on jogging. But look where you are going!
