• YOU report on threatened cuts to the buses, (Save the C2 bus!, August 17). Why not change the numbers, call the 88 bus the C2 and all will be fine. After all the new route of the 88 takes over the C2 route.

And, finally, rerouting the 88 bus will be an improvement at Mornington Crescent, which will hopefully give back space for the 24, 28 and 134 to return to their old bus stop, before it was moved to Harrington Square to allow the bendy bus more space.
