New Orleans jazz band The Fallen Heroes are returning to play the Sunday afternoon slot at The Blue Posts, Rupert Street, Soho.
The band played there for 11 years, establishing a reputation for blending contemporary New Orleans style jazz with the sounds and experiences of living in London. Their style is heavily influenced by brothers Ben and Emile Martyn, vocals/pianist and drummer respectively, who spent their formative years living and playing in New Orleans. They been active over the past 18 months, playing numerous venues all over London, including seven sell-out shows at Ronnie Scott’s.
In addition, they played several gigs at the Crypt at St Martin-in-the-Fields; the Roundhouse, Chalk Farm; and the King’s Head Theatre, Islington. The Fallen Heroes are also a regular feature at jazz festivals all over the world.
