The Royal Free Hospital

• I WAS at the Royal Free Hospital’s adult emergency department on Monday February 6 from 12pm until past 12am. The waiting rooms were packed at Covid-unsafe distances, so many stood or sat in the corridor.

At 10pm a security guard demanded that everyone go into the packed waiting room despite a lack of seats. Some left to wait in the cold outside and then relatives were asked to leave. The new NHS in inaction?
