Bernie Sanders addresses the meeting in Congress House

• IT was good to see United States senator Bernie Sanders rally against the oligarchs that run the world last week at the RMT union’s rally in the TUC’s Congress House, (US veteran rallies to RMT’S cause, September 2).

Little did he know that many of them do their money laundering in London. Huge amounts are funnelled through London property in both the City of Westminster and in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, the global hub of it all.

Little if any trickles down to Londoners even in property tax income for local government. Indeed it is often why they are here in the first place. So let us tackle this huge problem on both sides of the Atlantic, as Bernie Sanders suggested at the rally.
