• I HAVE lived and worked in Soho for many years now and although we have seen some progress on the interests of residents, within Westminster Council, I feel the opportunity to strike out on our own (to some degree) should be considered.

Over the past 10 years Soho has seen some considerable changes and many have not been to the benefit of residents, in particular the lack of due care given by planners to new construction works and the effects these have on the community.

We have seen the decline of essential services within Soho and we need some democratic power to look after the interests of residents and businesses within Soho.

Maybe it is time to ask Westminster City Council for some of the powers back to look after and promote the interests of this unique village within the West End.
