‘We must be able to debate HS2 freely’

• NOW that Boris Johnson has been thoroughly disgraced, and been proven beyond doubt to be a serial liar, isn’t it time for an official inquiry into the stealth, dishonesty and deception (even lying to the late Elizabeth II) used by Johnson and the government to make sure that HS2 went ahead, and to defraud the British taxpayer of £160billion?

The argument for HS2’s existence is now completely shot to pieces. And why are we being gagged, silenced, and not allowed to debate this dangerous and destructive train that nobody wants?

Yet they have the barefaced cheek to tell us they have no money to pay for the public transport we really need. We must be able to debate HS2 freely and to scrutinise this catastrophic nightmare.

Also if the government has no money – as they keep telling us while we are suffering the effects of a crippling cost of living crisis – how can they afford £160billion to spend on HS2?

There must be an inquiry. Immediately!
