• IT is with great sadness and no fanfare that the Regent’s Park site of Westminster Kingsway College on Longford Street has been left closed and will remain so.

ESOL (English for speakers of other languages) provision has been moved to community locations.

The nursery within the building, which has been running for 30-plus years, will no longer run. And all staff have been made redundant.

It is a shame that local families are no longer able to use the nursery while studying. Many practitioners have worked over 20 years in the nursery and one member for more than 30 years.

Ofsted continually graded the setting as good with outstanding aspects within its day-to-day running, stating: “children are happy and confident” and “the provision has a positive impact on children’s learning and welfare needs”.
