In defence of MP Mark Field

• THE action by Mark Field MP to confront and escort a trespasser/activist from the Mansion House event was justified.
He took immediate, effective, deterrent action by using no more force than was necessary in the circumstances to remove her from the vicinity occupied by the target of her unknown, but potentially harmful, intent.
No demonstrator going to the level of planning in the numbers adopted for the purpose seen at the venue in question was likely to be deflected or dissuaded by soft words and reasoned argument. Hence, why the word “activist” is widely used to describe their behaviour.
Had the woman involved been found in possession of anything that would have exacerbated the situation, would anyone be complaining about the MP’s timely intervention?
