The ‘cult classic’ Marble Arch Mound

• NOW that the Conservatives have gone, along with their “cult classic” mound, it is time to improve the Marble Arch environs.

I ask our new council to resist any more statement pieces, public art, etc, and to focus on the space. Not all spaces have to be filled and being empty is not a bad thing.

It would be good to have a space to simply sit, to read, to natter with mates, to play chess, to watch table tennis.

Without any exorbitant expense, new paving, and new style seating, along with constant litter, vagrant, and pigeon patrols, would serve to make the area the perfect punctuation point between Hyde Park and Oxford Street. Looking forward to more than a dirty roundabout.
