How St Mary’s Hospital is a suitable case for treatment

St Mary’s Hospital
• MANY people will have very personal memories of St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington.
I for one saw my father pass away after several months of intense care and my kid sisters, nieces and nephews all born there.
So St Mary’s Hospital holds a very special place in the life events of the Qureshi family.
So seeing the hospital “crumbling” into disrepair is shocking, to say the least, as your headline for June 16 revealed it all. But we have seen this for some time.
The Dickensian conditions we have in some parts of St Mary’s around the Mint block and the maternity buildings have not really changed much since the 1980s.
Also the medical college move may well now be delayed, as it will be a crime to leave its buildings lying empty for many years to come, as a result of the new priorities for the health secretary.
If we don’t get secretary of state Steve Barclay to change his mind, we are going to see a lot of scaffolding just to keep it all up and keep up appearances for a very long time. And scaffolding is being put up right now.
So do not be surprised when the annual costs of just keeping it going become higher than those involved in rebuilding completely before.
Now that would be a real waste of National Health Service resources before 2030 and beyond. https://muradqureshi.com/st-marys-refurbishment-kicked-into-the-long-grass-again/
