We’ve all been conned by businesses which promise and don’t deliver. We’ve all been shaken out of our ability to have faith in the Metropolitan Police Service.

Can we really believe that the precious NHS will be there for us in our hour of need? And lying by national and local politicians is seen as routine and a perfectly legitimate part of the game.

We need to be limbo dancers to stay sane and get through life these days.
