How is the London mayor getting away with this idle policy?
Thursday, 9th December 2021

London mayor Sadiq Khan
• SO the London mayor posts on the back of a bus: “Would you idle your engine knowing it can cause lung disease?”
Which is ironic because a year ago he closed hundreds of London roads driving cars vans and lorries onto main roads.
Because of that hundreds of cars now sit in the Euston underpass, stationary for up to 30 minutes to get from one side to the other.
Idling their engine they then start pumping out lung disease-causing particles… all because of a permanently-closed lane (authorised by the London mayor).
In addition dozens of other main roads in London with stationary gridlocked vehicles are also pumping out lung disease damaging particles.
All due to the London mayor’s policy of closing roads and adding lane restrictions. How is he getting away with it?
