Still on the market: the former ticket office

IT’S now more than a year since the ornate “tourist island” in Charing Cross Road went on sale – and nobody has come up with an idea to put it back into use.

Perhaps the £3million price tag is off-putting, but what a shame that it just stands there month after month with an estate agent board for wrapping. It used to be public loos and also a half price theatre booth.

What else could it end up being used for? Someone must have a winning idea somewhere.
