NEW prime minister Liz Truss and her chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng were busy crashing the economy this week with a tax cut for the very rich.

The Bank of England has been forced into drastic emergency measures. But in a tweet for LBC presenter James O’Brien to frame, Tory London Assembly member Susan Hall (above) provided a different take. It was “good”.

“How do I know this is a good ‘mini-budget?’,” she said. “Because the left are in meltdown and apparently James O’Brien was rendered speechless (we wish!).”

It was, of course, the pound that went into meltdown!
