FOR years the press picked the most unflattering photos of Jeremy Corbyn to make him look silly when more serious options were clearly available in the PA library – and the usual suspects all laughed.

But when the same fate befell Susan Hall, the new Tory mayoral candidate, this week the Conservatives were up in arms and banged out a complaint letter. They claim the otherwise very sophisticated Ms Hall was encouraged to wave her arms around by the Evening Standard’s photographer.

But it’s not as if she has needed persuading to flap them about and even stick her tongue out in the past.
