FILMING continues in London for upcoming ITV drama Joan, a six-part series which we are told by the publicity fluff will chart the life story of diamond thief Joan Hannington.

That’s Hannington, not Harrington!

Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner has been cast in the lead role and it follows the account of a criminal underworld detailed in Hannington’s memoir I Am What I Am: The True Story of Britain’s Most Notorious Jewel Thief.

I wonder if they will include the moment at the start of her offending when she stole from a West End jewellery shop where she worked by swallowing two handfuls of diamonds and, well, waiting for nature to take its course.
