BETH Mead said she “was proud” to hit her 50th and 51st Women’s Super League goals for Arsenal as they cruised to victory against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
The England international slotted a first-time volley into the bottom corner to put the Gunners in front after adding the finishing touches to Chloe Kelly’s whipped ball into the box.
Alessia Russo doubled the lead before another cross from Kelly resulted in Palace captain Allyson Swaby putting the ball into the back of her own net. Mead then found the top corner in stoppage time to complete a resounding 4-0 win.
“I’m always proud to make milestones for Arsenal,” said Mead.
“And yes, I’m enjoying my football, and it’s nice to get 50 goals for the Arsenal.
“We’re playing really good football at the moment.”
