FUSION’S mighty cup heroes were spot-on for success when they beat Bloomsbury Football on penalties to scoop silverware in the Camden & Islington Youth League.
The Under-13s squad made a bright start at Market Road, earning a half-time lead in their Challenge Cup final courtesy of a clinical finish from Adam Bower. But league champions Bloomsbury battled back to level the scores at 1-1 and force penalties as they went in search of the double.
With the pressure mounting, Fusion goalkeeper Charlie Mardlin shone as he capped a player-of-the-match performance by saving three spotkicks to help his side seal a 3-1 win, and with it the trophy.
