The Ladies’ loo in Parkway, Camden Town

• BERNARD Shaw was a great advocate for the provision of public toilets and it is a tribute to him that the Ladies’ in Parkway, Camden Town operates to this day.

It is sad, however, that his work was not continued to accommodate all of those extra full bladders that now walk our streets – to the extent that bike-hangars are now evidently being used for relief.
