• I WAS saddened to read that Frank Dobson has died, (Former health secretary Frank Dobson dies at 79, November 12).

As chair of the Brunswick Centre Tenants’ and Residents’ Association from 2002 to 2012 I knew that I could always rely on Frank to support the TRA and a letter from him on Palace of Westminster headed paper worked wonders on a number of occasions.

My condolences to his family.
