Forget the critics, keep the mound

• HAVING read so much criticism about the Marble Arch Mound, I went to see it myself.

It is a wonderful place to see London from an unusual high platform. The view of London is 360 degrees and you can take as long as you like to view.

Where can you find a place to have such a real round view of London?

You may go to the Shard or London Eye. But remember that those two places cost quite a lot of money and time is limited. But the mound is free for the public.

I would like the mound to stay, forever, as another attraction of London. Then, by the summer, it would be appreciated even more.

As for people who criticised the project, please don’t forget how much criticism was made by newspapers or some short-sighted people pouring on the Millennium Dome over 20 years ago.

I visited it and wondered why the newspapers and critics so hated this achievement. Time has proved they were very wrong.

The dome has become one of the most popular venues in the world. To have a show performance there the artists have to book two to three years in advance.

The mound will prove it is worth visiting with its surrounding gardens and the arch. What a unique way to see London!

These short-sighted people should stop their criticism. Let the time prove they are wrong.
