A SPECIAL screening of a film about how a former teacher came to terms with Parkinson’s disease is on at the Baker Street Everyman this weekend.

Sue Wylie was diagnosed with the disease aged 50 but went on to write Kinetics: Parkour and Parkinson’s.

The film focuses on a friendship with a rebellious 16-year-old pupil, who has a knack for parkour.

The screening follows “a very successful tour” of a play version of the story created and performed by Sue, who is also an actress, and her student, that toured the south west of England.

Now she wants it “to be seen on a wider platform”. Under her acting name of Sue Broomfield, Sue has previously performed on stage and in radio and TV including shows such as Casualty and The Bill.
