‘Cabinet millionaires ignore the stunning drop in real wages’

• ONE doesn’t have to follow such moral exemplars as Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandela and Mother Teresa, (or know that deontology is the science of ethics that centres on the intrinsic right / wrong of an act) to feel ashamed at the extraordinary corruption which has transpired in this scandal-ridden series of governments with their air of impunity.

Breaches of ethics rules and “conflicts of interests” permeate and, as the deleterious effects of Brexit three years on have been acknowledged, in a stagnant pool the detritus has surfaced in the anti-strike bill.

Cabinet millionaires ignore the stunning drop in real wages and conditions and the major strikes this week. We have a plutocracy for the very few and low wage-slavery for the many. Time to thank the emboldened whistle-blowers for exposing unethical practices.
