To celebrate the beginning of the Christmas season, Central London destination Marylebone Village has announced further details of their Christmas Lights festive switch on taking place Thursday 10 November 2022, 3pm – 8pm. The event is organised and funded by The Howard de Walden Estate in support of local mental health charity partner Mind in Brent Wandsworth and Westminster.

Shoppers are invited to experience an unforgettable evening packed with festive workshops, 30+ artisan market stalls, roaming music from local jazz bar 28-50 by Night, late night shopping, Santa’s grotto, fairground with Ferris Wheel, a celebrity switch on moment and much more.

The switch on moment for the impressive Christmas Lights will take place on the Devonshire Street stage, hosted by BBC London’s Jo Good at 6pm by a soon to be announced celebrity guest.

The Christmas light display illuminating the streets of Marylebone for the festive season will be carbon neutral, with all installation emissions being 100% offset. All bulbs are LED saving 75% more energy than standard bulbs.

A range of festive activities for all ages will also be in full swing, including wreath making workshops, and live festive illustrations. For more information on the workshops and for details on how to book in, see below:

100% of all proceeds made from the festive activities – including donations to the Santa’s Grotto and festive workshops – will be donated to Charity partner Mind in Brent Wandsworth and Westminster. The ever-popular charity tombola is also back and offers the chance to win fantastic prizes from a host of Marylebone Village brands, including a voucher for 4 for an evening of jazz food and wine at 28-50 by Night, breakfast for two at Fischers, or a Solo diamond bracelet from Mejuri, to name a few.

Showcasing the community spirit, Marylebone Village shops, cafes, bars and restaurants will join together to offer shoppers a huge range of value-added offers, festive experiences, exclusive discounts, and specially created menus for one night only.

A whole host of stores will be extending their opening hours until 8pm for visitors to enjoy after-work late night Christmas shopping. This includes retailers such as agnès b, Brora, Dinny Hall, Lululemon, Matches, Mejuri, Sirplus and Wyse London. Also beauty brands Aesop, Margaret Dabbs London, The Organic Pharmacy and Italian soap and fragrance company Ortigia Siciliana.

Many fashion, wellness and beauty brands will be offering flash sales during the evening, including 20% off with agnès b, Dinny Hall, David Mellor, and 10% off with Brora, Sirplus and Koibird. Shoppers will also be offered complimentary in-store drinks and festive snacks such as mince pies at Aesop, Caroline Gardener, Clarendon Fine Art, Margaret Dabbs London, Sirplus, Tracey Neuls and Wolford.
