A SUPER squad of young footballers “made memories that will last a lifetime” over Easter when they were given the chance to showcase their skills in Spain.

Camden Elite went up against some of the best young players in Europe at the Copa Santa Barcelona 2025.

And the Under-12s side (above) more than held their own as they powered their way to a third-place finish to ensure they travelled home with silverware.

It was an incredible feat for the club, especially considering some of the boys were playing up one, and even two age groups – meaning Elite’s youngest stars were just nine-years-old.

“It was an amazing experience,” said Elite head coach Sebastian Eurico. “Our players got the chance to experience football in a brand-new environment and experience what it would be like playing professionally against top talents from across Europe.

“Among the highlights was also getting to take a tour of the RCDE Stadium, home of La Liga side RCD Espanyol. It was a fantastic trip.”
