Eddie Redmayne meets NHS staff who helped him win an Oscar
Actor was at a fund-raiser for National Brain Appeal in Queen Square

ACTOR Eddie Redmayne has been reunited with medical staff who helped him win an Oscar for his Stephen Hawking role. Mr Redmayne met the doctors and nurses at the Lansdowne Club in Mayfair on Saturday at the National Brain Appeal’s annual fund-raising gala.
He had worked with the experts while researching his lead role in The Theory of Everything. Mr Redmayne said: “I feel very privileged to have had the opportunity to observe the work of the brilliant and impressive team of neurologists at Queen Square’s Centre for Neuromuscular Diseases.
“I was so warmly welcomed by them when I was researching my role as Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything. My time spent there was invaluable and I am so grateful.”
The brain appeal charity funds research and improvements at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in Queen Square.
