• DOES anybody live on an estate where there’s a ball cage? This past weekend tenants were disturbed by a group of youths playing football until after 1am on Sunday. Good for them but no joke if you need some shut-eye!

Of course, this incident is by no means isolated. We have endured this nonsense for 15 years at least and certainly since our landlord decided to dispense with the staff we used to have the services of. Not that it was ever perfect but not having staff to lock up does present a problem.

We are now supposed to have the services of a contractor who is being paid a considerable sum to undertake locking the ball cage. Trouble is, often they don’t appear at the agreed time or even appear at all.

I have made many complaints about this and sent umpteen emails but I hardly receive an apology for these disturbances. What do I do next?
