Marble Arch Hill: an artist’s view

• YOU kindly published a letter from me concerning Westminster City Council’s expensive silly projects with no regard to cleaning the general detritus and filth from the pigeons around Marble Arch, (A hill and now flags, April 23).

Another unhygienic, prime, location is New Cavendish Street. Just opposite the doors of House of Fraser and John Lewis the street is strewn with pigeon droppings.

Along Oxford Street the council’s flags “welcome us back to shopping”. Fat chance if the streets look like this.
