‘What can two helicopters in the same place at the same time see that one couldn’t?’

• OUR short-lived respite from the infernal din of police helicopters came to an end with a vengeance on Sunday.

Having rediscovered their taste for whizzing about “monitoring” the anti-lockdown march on Saturday they couldn’t resist getting their choppers out again on Sunday.

Two at a time now. What can two helicopters in the same place at the same time see that one couldn’t? I doubt there was much point anyway, apart from double-bubble of course.

The ‘new normal” appears to mean that the right of West End residents to enjoy a peaceful Sunday afternoon has gone for ever.

Maybe it is a cunning plan by developers to hire police mercenaries to drive us all out so that they can turn the whole place into an Ibiza-on-Thames hellhole.
