Don’t risk a second referendum
Thursday, 4th April 2019
• ANYONE who suggests the UK should have a second referendum is out of touch with the mood of the people.
Anyone who suggests that a referendum would be the start of a healing process should see a doctor.
Look at what’s happened recently: thousands marching to remain, thousands in Parliament Square to leave. You wouldn’t want the two sides to meet up.
The depth of feeling on both sides is hardening. As it is with MPs (can’t find an agreement) so it is with the electorate.
Many leavers, like me and my wife, love other European countries and their people. We visited several of them last year.
We just don’t want to be governed by them. Don’t risk a second referendum. We have a valid result from a referendum. Let’s find a way through with a deal and move on.
Also visited the EU parliament – where we found that the 3,500 staff employed by the EU were on strike over unreasonable demands by their employer. So much for workers’ rights.
