MORE than than 100,000 people hit the streets for the biggest Trans+ Pride celebration the world has ever seen.

The march – themed “existence and resistance” – left Langham Place, Fitzrovia, past 10 Downing Street, before a rally in Parliament Square.

In a speech, Doctor Who actress Yasmin Finney said: “I will never give up. Not because it’s easy. Not because it’s expected, but because the next generation is watching, and they deserve better.

“When people try to say we’re a phase or a threat’ just remember: Trans people have always been here.

“And we’ve always existed…

“We are valid. We are powerful. We are the future. We don’t need permission to exist, we never did. We’ve always belonged. And we’re done asking.”

Singer Jessie Ware, Eddie Suzy Izzard also spoke at the rally, Jeremy Corbyn, Caroline Litman, whose transgender daughter Alice died in 2022, and Trans Kids Deserve Better were among the podium speakers.

Lewis Burton, one of the founders, said the event “smashed our own world record of 60,000 and continues our legacy as the biggest trans+ pride event in history”.
