A LOUDHAILER-TOTING street performer who has repeatedly thwarted council attempts to silence him threatened to disrupt live footage of the newborn royal baby being beamed across the world.
Danny Shine, otherwise known as the Megaphone Man, pitched up outside the private Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington on Monday as the press and royal watchers waited with baited breath for a glimpse of the hours-old infant and his parents.
Mr Shine, who has had past run-ins with Westminster Council, delivered his thoughts on the monarchy and privilege to mixed reviews. Royal correspondent Richard Palmer tweeted: “The parents and baby are due out any minute. There’s a man with a megaphone complaining about a baby born into privilege. Some in the crowd are laughing, others asking him to be quiet.”
The happy couple today announced their third baby is called Louis.
