Dangerous… I don’t consider joggers as pedestrians

Cartoon: John Sadler
• I WAS horrified and appalled to read about the injuries sustained by WJ Harvey after being run into by a jogger (I was nearly killed by a jogger, January 11).
The outcome could have been much worse even than it turned out to be. Pavements are for pedestrians; I do not consider that joggers come into that category.
Exercise is all very well, and contributes to the health of the person taking it, but it should obviously not endanger others.
I believe there is a running track on Parliament Hill Fields; I suggest joggers take their exercise on that and leave pedestrians alone!
