Cyclists please keep in mind those that suffer from epilepsy
OPEN LETTER TO ALL CYCLISTS
• AS the evenings are now getting darker it’s more important than ever to be seen while on the roads; but please keep in mind that there are drivers, passengers, and pedestrians alike that suffer from epilepsy.
When your lights are set to strobe mode you are putting other people in danger. By all means have your lights on and you can even have them on a slower flash, which is fine and easily seen by others.
Why strobe lighting? On TV programmes, such as news bulletins, they must always give a warning for flash photography, it can have serious consequences for those people who suffer daily. All I ask is for cyclists to think a bit more about others.
