Dangers on the pavements

Why should I be put at extra risk by aggressive cyclists and scooter riders?
• DESPITE enormous sums of money being spent on “cycle superhighways”, along with Covid-19 “emergency” cycle lanes popping up on major roads and a decrease in traffic, cyclists continue to ride on the pavement.
They ride towards pedestrians at aggressive speeds while others brush past from behind without any warning. Add to these flagrant abusers the motorised scooter riders and the pavement becomes an obstacle course. It’s an obstacle course for pedestrians already attempting to employ social distancing.
There also needs to be firmer enforcement and action taken against the increasing number of shops openly selling illegal scooters.
Why should I and other pavement users be put at further risk at this time by fast food delivery riders and other two-wheeled ignorant and uncaring individuals?
