Cycle lanes are having a negative effect
Friday, 27th November 2020
• IT may be more community minded of Transport for London to spend their £95million pounds cycle lane “slush fund” on reopening Hammersmith bridge for the benefit of all travellers.
These imposed cycle lanes have a negative effect for those of us who cannot ride bikes by clogging up bus lanes and causing polluting traffic congestion.
Cyclists always have alternative routes, usually the pavement and are notorious for ignoring “dismount” signs and red lights.
If TfL are going to have an integrated transport system they should carry out a proper consultation with the relevant community.
