The Royal Free hospital

IF a friend or relative at the Royal Free asks for a cup of water next time you visit them, you may not be able to help.

To save money the hospital management has decided to reduce the supply of Polystyrene cups to the wards.

If doctors or nurses want a cup of water they should being their own cups, says the management, apparently.

According to a whistleblowing reader the management hope to save £400,000 a year. They must be paying over the odds to their supplier if that is true but that, sadly, is how the NHS often works.
