A NEW “roundel” has been installed at the new Crossrail station in Tottenham Court Road as the project nears completion.
The east to west London Underground railway is due to open in December, rebranded as the Elizabeth line.
The logos were manufactured at a family-owned business in the Isle of Wight that has been producing signs for the tube network for generations.

London’s deputy mayor for transport Val Shawcross said: “The installation of the roundels incorporating TfL’s iconic design shows how close we are now to the line opening.
“The new roundels also show the huge benefits that Crossrail has provided to the economy all across the UK.”
It is 110 years since the first “roundel” sign was installed at St James’s Park Underground station (pictured below as St James’ in the 1930s).
