‘Creating Spaces for Life’ to help celebrate parks

PARK photographers are being encouraged to submit their favourite photographs to a competition.

The spring pho­tog­raphy competition is hosted by the Royal Parks charity that runs Hyde Park, St James’s Park, Green Park and The Regent’s Park.

The Creating Spaces for Life competition has categories for under 15s, those aged 16 to 25, and 26 and above.

Prizes include BST Hyde Park festival tickets, boating session tickets and a walking tour tickets.

It closes on May 10 with winners due to be announced on June 3.

A Royal Parks spokesperson said: “This competition is open to everyone, and we can’t wait to see the creativity of the entries. We hope that it will inspire London’s photographers to take a moment out to observe the natural life flourish­ing on their doorsteps.”

Any photographs of deer or showing signs of animal disturbance will not be accepted, the Royal Parks charity said.

The Royals Parks include Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, Richmond Park, Bushy Park, St James’s Park, The Green Park, The Regent’s Park and Primrose Hill, Green­wich Park, Brompton Cemetery, Victoria Tower Gardens, and Grosvenor Square Garden.
