Postal workers walked out on strike over a pay rise dispute

• I AGREE also that the postie can often be the only link to the outside world for many, but don’t forget the counter staff at the Crown Post Offices in central London locations like Baker Street and Praed Street as well, (Postal workers deserve our support, September 2).

The Post Office Ltd is to pay over £2million to managers in bonuses but nothing for the workers. This when the Post Office made £39million for the year ending 2021/2022 and £35million the previous year, triggering maximum bonuses for the managers to be paid last month.

The workers on the counters deserve much better than the offer made so far, particularly with the cost of living crisis and keeping their homes warm when this has hit the roof. So when backing the posties, don’t forget the counter staff at your local Crown Post Office in central London.
