Camden Fringe: week two taster
The four-week festival is well under way. Here’s a brief preview of highlights from the coming week’s offerings:

• Akpore Uzoh’s new one-man play, A Day in the Life, exploring injustice within the justice system, is on at the Camden People’s Theatre from August 4 to August 7.
• See Go Call the Angels, a musical comedy about the trials and tribulations of putting on a theatre production, at the Canal Café Theatre, August 3 and August 5.
• C’est La Vie – Sarah Bernhardt And Me, from On The Brink Theatre Company, is on at Cecil Sharp House on August 9 and 10.
• Under The Mental Health Act and Black Love Matters, two short plays with interlocking themes from HiddenViewz, are being performed at the Cockpit Theatre on August 4 and 5.
• White Slate Production’s Re: Production, about a scientist on the cusp of a new IVF discovery faced with difficult decisions about her own fertility, is on at The Etcetera Theatre from, August 9 to 13.
Cotton, at the Hen & Chickens
• Cotton, the story of three professional gamers after their team disbands following a devastating loss, is on at the Hen & Chickens Theatre from August 6-8.
• The Community, a dark comedy about the last survivors on Earth’s struggles to keep going in spite of pessimism, totalitarianism and admin, is on at the Lion And Unicorn Theatre until August 5.
• Pageant, a musical comedy about the world of beauty pageants is on at the Camden Irish Centre, Thursday-Saturday until August 26.
• Arketypal, a comedy about prejudice and relationships, is on at the Monkey House until August 12.
• See Sari: The Whole Five Yards at the Tristan Bates Theatre from August 7-12.
• Can the truce hold between the Capulets and the Montagues after the deaths of Romeo and Juliet? After Juliet is on at Upstairs at the Gatehouse from August 8-10.
