• CONCERNING the letter (Corbyn vs Johnson, bring it on…, September 14), Gary J Smith wrote: “Tony Blair was a failed prime minister. So who seeks his advice any longer?”

So much so that British voters re-elected him twice. When it comes to winning elections, the score so far is Tony Blair three, Jeremy Corbyn nil.

I would suggest that this may be why his advice is still sought.
