A YOUNG man is fighting for his life in hospital after getting into an argument on a bus in the West End.

The 25-year-old was taken to hospital after an argument with another man of similar age on the 94 bus in Oxford Street at about 10pm on Tuesday.

The suspect ran off with a woman and they headed towards Oxford Circus tube station.

Detective Chief Inspector Michael Dougall said: “At this early stage it appears the victim sustained his injuries as a result of blunt force. But, however the injuries were inflicted, we now have a young man critically ill in hospital and we are appealing for information.”

He added: “We also need to trace where these people went after they left the bus.”
