Increase in the cost of hiring the pedal-power bike is baffling

• IN promoting his new e-bikes, London mayor Sadiq Khan says he wants to break down “some of the barriers that prevent Londoners from getting on a bike” and “make cycling as accessible as possible”.

I am struggling to understand how he might square that with the recent 330 per cent increase in the cost of hiring the pedal-power version.

For £2 I used to do at least four journeys in a 24-hour period. They now cost £6.60 and I cycle much less than I did. Baffling.
