SPANISH striker Mariona Caldentey arrived at Arsenal this week declaring she wants to “win trophies and entertain supporters.”

The 28-year-old made the switch to north London after bringing an end to her 10-year stay at Barcelona, where she won six Liga F titles, three Champions Leagues and six Spanish Cups. She was also part of the Spain squad that won the World Cup last year.

“This is the right time for a new challenge for me, and Arsenal is the perfect place,” said Caldentey.

“I think what Arsenal are doing as a club is amazing – on and off the pitch. I love the way we want to play as a team and I think there’s a strong mentality building here.”
