• I WRITE to commend the Extra for your thoughtful coverage of the exhibition at Mayfair’s JD Malat Gallery of the work of Erin Holly – entitled A Trans+ Arrangement of the Painted Space.

At a time when the home office reports a deeply-concerning increase in the number of transphobic hate crimes recorded, I wish Erin Holly every success.

All people of goodwill may wish to think of trans+ friends, relations and colleagues next week, Transgender Awareness Week, November 13 to 18, and offer friendly support and a listening ear.
