Music at St Mary’s Tower

• I READ with disappointment the article (Open air at St Mary’s Tower, Review, July 17) which stated the event would be accompanied by Anna Tilbrook, “the pianist who made a name for herself during lockdown by playing every week for Radio 3’s questionable karaoke sessions”.

Anna Tilbrook is an internationally renowned pianist and accompanist. She recently performed as part of the Wigmore Hall’s lunchtime live broadcasts concert series with Lucy Crowe and her CD Solitude was released earlier this month with James Gilchrist, with whom she has had a professional partnership for over 20 years.

To state she has made her name from this light-hearted musical slot on Radio 3 is inaccurate.
