A GROUP of “sex positive” artists who say their work regularly gets them banned from social media are opening an uncensored exhibition in the heart of Soho.

Dirty Queers – featuring film, photography, art, and sculpture – will be on at the Bateman Street Gallery, Soho, from October 8.

Organisers promise “interactive immersive experiences” as well as “live art” performance.

Fetish photographer and founder of the exhibition Matt Spike said: “Talking to my peers, it was becoming increasingly common that we were all receiving bans from social media for constantly breaching their guidelines, so much so it actually became quite comical.

“So, we just decided to hold our own exhibition, uncensored and as a bit of a ‘f**k you’ to those that would oppress us and to show our work as it was intended and without having to worry about a ban.”

Artists include Bruce La Bruce, Ben Youdan, Saul Morgan, Joshi, Aaron Bergmann, Christian Duran and Arabella Archives.

Up and coming artists include Guy O Harrison and Lee Woodall while a collective of women – “the busy hands group” – have created work especially for this event using their breasts.

The free exhibition coincides with the London Art and Culture Festival.
