Action is needed against the drugs menace in Bloomsbury
Thursday, 29th March 2018
• THERE is currently a drugs epidemic in Bloomsbury.
Every day and night, drug dealers gather at the crossroads of Dyott Street, Bainbridge Street and Streatham Street, directly behind the Trades Union Congress Building, a stone’s throw from New Oxford Street and within five minutes’ walk to the British Museum.
Residents are awoken most days at 5am. People scream, shout, shoot up in open view, and pull out all of the contents of the bins. Residents have had enough!
We fear vigilante groups will now be formed to patrol the streets as the police have, thus far, done nothing to protect residents or remove the offenders.
